In the territory of Piombino and the Island of Elba, the camera observes its inhabitants in silence: minerals, plants, insects, animals, and finally human beings.
Industrial steelworks, the Golar Tundra regasification vessel, the wind farm, and the Etruscan necropolises form the backdrop.

Midway through the film, the gaze shifts aboard a sailing brig, a replica of an 18th-century vessel, inhabited by a crew of Czech citizens who are circumnavigating the island. The journey concludes with the evocation of a possible future, still uncertain.
