Giulio Melani is a cinematographer and filmmaker based in Milan.
Having graduated in painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, and in Cinema at Brera Academy of Milan. Guided by his passion for light, he is interested in the photographic and cinematic medium to which he applies the chromatic and compositional sensitivities acquired in the pictorial path.
In 2019, he competed in the ‘Perspectives’ section of the Milan Filmmaker Festival with the short film Astronomo and in 2020, with Dafne. In 2022 the short film Racconto is awarded with the Nicola Curzio Prize at Filmmaker Festival in Milan.
